Control system for flying saw for paper tubes.
One of our customers, a manufacturing company in paper sector, was fully modernizing their flying saw for cutting cardboard tubes. Our task was to design a control system from a scratch – program and launch it on the modernized device.
Our task included, in particular, the following:
Selection of servo-drives for mandrel drive and a cutting trolley – in the scope of their achievable dynamics. Selection of a frequency inverter paper winding drums’ drive.
Performance of an electric design.
Prefabrication of a control and supply cabinet.
Analysis of operational safety of winding and sleeve cutting system – included in the delivery of components.
Preparation of a control program and the system operation visualization.
Connection of a control system on the machine.
System start-up and acceptances with the user.
A set of documentation (manuals, schemes, declarations of conformity for the control cabinet).
The system was made with the use of the following:
PLC controller by LENZE series 3200C integrated with a motion controller.
Components of production safety system by Allen-Bradley.
Selection of servo-drives and frequency inverter, system based on sub-assemblies by LENZE.
Operator panel with 7” diagonal P300 by LENZE.
Other drives controlled by sub-assemblies by EATON: gluing unit and unwinder reverse operation, wrapper drive start/stop operation.
Module instrumentation by EATON.
