Automation design, engineering and start-up of a punching tool.
For one of our customers, delivering punching tools for a manufacturer of household appliances, we developed next punching tool control system.
This project is an ideal example of continuous collaboration between constructors and managers of the customer with automation and electric technicians of Kordecki Automation and representatives of the end customer.
Long-term, constant collaboration allows for significant reduction of time required for the project execution. Reduction of working time results from the following:
- Knowledge of the process technology.
- Knowledge of the structure and work organization at the customer’s.
- Knowledge of the required standard of performance of works and expectations connected with the final result.
- Knowledge of the necessary scope of works to be performed.
The scope of execution included:
- Preparing a design for automation and control system for the punching tool in cooperation with constructors of the customer and a company which executed hydraulic system.
- Prefabrication of control cabinet, with cable tagging according to the customer’s requirements with application of PARTEX tagging system.
- Executing a control program according to the supplied machine operation algorithm.
- Executing electrical connections on the ready device between control cabinet and actuators and sensors.
- Device start-up and tests at the device manufacturing location, disconnection of the control system and its subsequent reconnection at the target location.
- Main automation components include the following: A controller and DI/DO distributed system by SIEMENS S7-1500 and ET200, HMI SIEMENS 7”panel in BASIC version, frequency inverters made by SIEMENS for controlling operation of a hydraulic system pump with power of 11kW.
- Wiring made with application of signal concentrators, easy to disconnect from a control cabinet, allowing for easy transportation.
- Safety system based on SICK sub-assemblies. The system was executed with safety curtains, safety switch and access gate for the device servicing with monitoring of the guard opening.
- A set of documentation, i.e.: Operation manual, declarations of conformity, electric measurements performed at the location of final installation.
- Delivery of a separate cabinet for control system and operator panel equipped with push-buttons, signaling indicators and a panel.
