Control system for heating and drying furnace.
The works included engineering of a complete control unit for a chamber furnace used for end product drying.
The scope of works covered: Electric design, prefabrication of a power supply – control cabinet, programming and start-up at the user’s (manufacturer of furnaces and drying plants).
Basic assumptions the control unit:
Controlling heaters divided into 8 sections with application of SSR relays. Power adjustment common for each heating section. Each section activated by a three- phase SSR relay, equipped with a radiator. On/off system operation controlled by PLC controller with a coupling from temperature sensor for each section. Each SSR relay equipped with protective ultra- fast fuse links with tripping signaled to PLC system. Each SSR relay equipped with a contact signaling SSR relay overheating.
PLC controller and I/O modules made by SIEMENS series S7-1200. HMI panel of COMFORT KTP900 type – logging of operation parameters on an external memory carrier connected to HMI panel.
Control cabinet equipped with a safety relay and a mushroom E-stop, phase and correct supply control system, network analyzer with an option of data exchange with PLC controller and supply parameters archiving, air-conditioner and UPS.
LCD display with indication of real time values of: voltages, current etc.
Control of operation of 6 fans by frequency inverters.
Sub-assemblies made by EATON, SIEMENS, SCHNEIDER
RL10 system for deactivation of a heating system in case temperature threshold value is exceeded.
Development of a control program in mode: pre-heating with a set ramp, heating time at constant temperature and cooling with a set ramp. An option to develop sets. Remote access.
